How the ladder feeds the model
Position on the table is not a feature the model uses directly. Ladder position is a lagging summary, not a predictor. Instead the model consumes the underlying signals that produce table position: rolling form, ELO ratings, points scored and conceded, margin trends and venue performance. Super League playoffs, top 6 and seeding
The top 6 sides at the end of the regular season qualify for the Super League playoffs, with the top 2 earning a home semi-final and seeding advantage. Watch the gap between 6th and 7th in the final third of the regular season, that's where the table tightens and the model's per-team read becomes most useful.
