NFL Spread Tips 2026
The point spread is the NFL's signature betting market. Alphr's margin model predicts the winning margin of each game, then compares it to the bookmaker's handicap line to find against-the-spread (ATS) value. Every spread tip is published before kickoff and tracked publicly.
This Week's Spread Tips
ATS tips are launching for the 2026 season and will appear on the NFL hub once the model is live.
How the Spread Works
A spread of −6.5 means the favourite must win by 7 or more to "cover". Alphr's margin model outputs a predicted points margin for every game. When the predicted margin differs from the bookmaker line by enough to clear the vig, the cover side becomes a spread tip.
Why Margin Modelling Matters
Picking outright winners ignores how much a team wins by. The spread market rewards accurate margin estimates, so a dedicated regression model, rather than a win/loss classifier, is the right tool. Alphr trains its NFL margin model on historical results using anti-leakage features.
