**Cleveland Browns vs Buffalo Bills Prediction and Tips - NFL Week 16, 2025**

_By Ben Dunlop · Published: 22 Dec 2025, 05:00 am_

Cleveland Browns 20–23 Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 16 at FirstEnergy Stadium. Here's how the result stacked up against the model's call, with the win-probability story and where the value landed.

Buffalo Bills led 20-10 at the break at FirstEnergy Stadium, and for a stretch it looked like Cleveland might not get another sniff. They did, just not quite enough of one. The final was 23-20, Bills, and the gap between half-time and full-time tells you this wasn't the blowout the second quarter suggested.

The first quarter was tight. Harold Fannin Jr. opened the scoring for Cleveland with 10:47 left, and Buffalo's James Cook answered with 7:58 to go, leaving it locked at 7-7 after one. Then Buffalo took over. Ty Johnson scored with 12:57 left in the second, Cook added his second with 2:27 remaining, and the Bills went to the sheds up 20-10. Cleveland spent the second half clawing back. Fannin's second touchdown, with 1:39 left in the third, made it 23-16, and by the final whistle Cleveland had it to 23-20. Buffalo never let them find the one score that would have levelled it.

Look at the yardage sheet and you'd think Cleveland had won. They outgained Buffalo 317 to 294, out-passed them 157 to 130, and picked up 28 first downs to Buffalo's 22. None of it mattered as much as the turnover column: Cleveland gave the ball away twice, Buffalo not once. That's really what decided it. Buffalo's offensive EPA finished at plus-1.1, Cleveland's at minus-6.1. Cleveland moved the chains all day and still came away with less to show for it.

Shedeur Sanders threw for 157 yards on 20 of 29 with a touchdown, but the two interceptions cancelled out most of the good work. Josh Allen had a quieter night by comparison, 12 of 19 for 130, and didn't need to force anything with the ground game doing plenty of the heavy lifting.

That ground game belonged to James Cook. He finished with 117 yards on 16 carries and both his touchdowns, the headline number in a rushing battle that was close on paper, 164 yards for Buffalo to Cleveland's 160, but decis
