**Houston Texans vs Buffalo Bills Prediction and Tips - NFL Week 12, 2025**

_By Ben Dunlop · Published: 21 Nov 2025, 12:15 pm_

Houston Texans 23–19 Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 12 at NRG Stadium. Here's how the result stacked up against the model's call, with the win-probability story and where the value landed.

Buffalo had the first say on the scoreboard and never really let go of the yardage column, but Houston kept finding a way to be ahead when it mattered. That's the strange arithmetic of this one: the Bills piled up 396 total yards to Houston's 261, yet walked out of NRG Stadium on the wrong side of 23-19.

James Cook opened it with a touchdown just over nine minutes into the first quarter, and Buffalo led 6-0, then 6-3 at the end of the term. Houston clawed level through Christian Kirk with 3:51 left in the second, only for Ray Davis to put Buffalo back in front, 15-13. Then came the passage that decided the half: Jayden Higgins scored with nine seconds on the clock, flipping it to 19-16 Houston, and the Texans took a 20-16 lead into the sheds. A field goal in the third made it 23-16, and from there Houston just needed to survive. Buffalo trimmed it back to 23-19 late, but couldn't find the score that would have flipped it again.

The story in the box score is turnovers, plain and simple. Buffalo coughed the ball up three times, Houston none, and you don't often outgain a team by 135 yards and still lose unless you're handing it back that often. Houston's pass rush did its bit too, getting home eight times against a Bills line that conceded zero sacks the other way. Offensive EPA had Houston at minus-3.5 to Buffalo's minus-4.7, which tells you Houston were the more efficient side when it counted, even while getting outgained on paper.

Individually, Josh Allen threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns but also gave up two interceptions, going 24-of-34. Davis Mills was tidier if less spectacular, 16-of-30 for 153 and two scores of his own. Cook led all rushers with 116 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown, and Khalil Shakir was the game's leading
