A Same Game Multi (sometimes called a same-game parlay) lets you stack several outcomes from a single AFL game into one wager. Instead of betting one market, you might combine the head-to-head winner, the winning margin band and the total match points. Because all legs must land for the bet to win, the odds multiply, producing a larger potential return but a lower strike rate. Alphr's AI Same Game Multi feature is in development and will assemble these multi-leg bets automatically from the model's existing match predictions.

By combining the highest-confidence legs from its head-to-head, margin and total-score models into a single correlated multi, then filtering for positive expected value. Each AFL Same Game Multi is assembled from Alphr's existing model outputs. The win classifier (81.9% head-to-head accuracy in 2025) supplies the result leg, the margin model supplies a margin-band leg, and the dual-score model supplies an over/under leg, while the player-prop models add optional goals and disposals legs. The AI evaluates how the legs interact within the same game, accounts for correlation between them, estimates the true combined probability, and only surfaces a multi when the combined price offers positive expected value against the bookmaker's SGM odds.

Yes, and that is the key challenge. Outcomes in the same game influence each other, so Alphr's model estimates the joint probability rather than naively multiplying single-leg probabilities. Legs within one game are not independent. If a team wins comfortably, a high winning margin and certain total-points outcomes become more likely at the same time. Naively multiplying single-leg probabilities therefore misprices an SGM. Alphr's Same Game Multi engine models the joint distribution of outcomes within a match, so the combined probability reflects how the legs move together. This correlation-aware approach is what separates a disciplined AI SGM from a guessed multi.

Yes. Every SGM strategy will be unit-tested and backtested against past AFL rounds before it is published, the same blind out-of-sample discipline used for the core models. Before any Same Game Multi strategy goes live, it is validated against historical AFL rounds the model never trained on. Each leg-combination rule is unit-tested on completed seasons to measure its real strike rate, return on investment and variance, so only combinations with a verified edge are released. This mirrors Alphr's existing methodology, where the AFL models were trained on 18+ years of data, validated on a held-out season and blind-tested on the most recent completed season.

Each suggested SGM will show its legs, the combined odds, the model's estimated probability and the edge over the bookmaker price, then be tracked publicly win or lose, exactly like the existing head-to-head, margin and over/under tips.
