AFL Same Game Multi 2026

Alphr is building AI-generated AFL Same Game Multis, multi-leg bets from a single match, assembled automatically from the same models that power our head-to-head, margin and over/under tips, plus our player-prop models. Every suggested multi will be correlation-aware and backtested on past rounds before it is published. The feature is in development, and the AI multis will be published right here the moment they go live.

What is a Same Game Multi?

A Same Game Multi (SGM) combines two or more bets from the same AFL game into one wager, for example Geelong to win + over 165.5 total points + a key forward to kick 2+ goals. All legs must land, so the odds multiply, bigger potential return, lower strike rate. The challenge is that legs in one game are correlated, which is exactly what Alphr's AI is being built to model.

How Alphr's AI Will Build AFL Same Game Multis

Each AFL Same Game Multi is assembled from Alphr's existing, already-live match models. Nothing is guessed, every leg comes from a trained model output:

  1. Result leg, from the head-to-head win classifier (81.9% accuracy on the blind 2025 AFL season).
  2. Margin leg, from the margin regression model (margin band, e.g. 1–39 or 40+).
  3. Totals leg, from the dual-score model (over/under the total-points line).
  4. Player-props leg, from the dedicated player models, e.g. a player to kick 2+ goals or rack up 25/30+ disposals.
  5. Combine & price, the AI estimates the joint probability of the legs and only surfaces the multi when its combined price beats the bookmaker's SGM odds.

Correlation-Aware, Not Naive Multiplication

Legs within one game are not independent. If Geelong wins comfortably, a larger margin and certain totals become more likely at the same time. Multiplying single-leg probabilities together would misprice the multi. Alphr's SGM engine models the joint distribution of outcomes within a match, so the combined probability reflects how the legs actually move together, the difference between a disciplined AI multi and a hopeful punt.

Backtested & Unit-Tested on Past Rounds

No Same Game Multi strategy goes live until it has been validated against past AFL rounds the model never trained on. Each leg-combination rule is unit-tested across completed seasons to measure its real strike rate, return on investment and variance, so only combinations with a verified edge are released. It is the same discipline behind Alphr's core models: trained on 18+ years of data, validated on a held-out season, then blind-tested on the most recent completed season.

AFL Tips, Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Alphr's free AFL predictions, model accuracy, and methodology.

Quick answer

A Same Game Multi (SGM) combines two or more bets from the same AFL match into one bet, for example a team to win plus the game total to go over a line, with the combined odds multiplied together.

A Same Game Multi (sometimes called a same-game parlay) lets you stack several outcomes from a single AFL game into one wager. Instead of betting one market, you might combine the head-to-head winner, the winning margin band and the total match points. Because all legs must land for the bet to win, the odds multiply, producing a larger potential return but a lower strike rate. Alphr's AI Same Game Multi feature is in development and will assemble these multi-leg bets automatically from the model's existing match predictions.
