Thirty-nine clearances to 33. That's the number that explains how the Western Bulldogs won a game they were losing at half-time, and it's why they finished up 86-70 winners over West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium.

The scoreboard took its time getting there. The Bulldogs were the better side early, up 26-17 at quarter time, but West Coast hit back hard in the second term to lead 44-37 at the main break.
